Oh yes, they are - *strawberry* plants!

Mother wanted to buy me a beautiful orchid, I thought why waste the money (it would have died in my care), so I got strawberries. And tomatoes. And tarragon. And lauro nobilis, AKA bayleaf. :)

I am already plottting my anti slug measures - I am not going to carefully raise the plants only to have them chewed to death by blooming snails.

...Now, if this isn't an irresistible bribe I don't know what is...:D
