If you'd like to try some Today Bread now, you can get some nice bread recipes online. I can't cook to save my life, but I managed fine with the bread recipes I found, so it can't be too difficult to bake.
Unfortunately, it's been a few years since I've baked any, and I don't know where my note cards are, but really, you ought to give it a shot.
